What the available evidence can—and cannot—show.
We separate information printed or published by a brand from evidence that is current, accessible and relevant to the exact product assessed.
Accessible supporting evidence
A current report, recognised certification or equivalent record relevant to the reviewed product.
Brand or label statement
The statement is published, but accessible independent supporting evidence was not found.
No usable current record
The information was not found in the sources reviewed, so no value is inferred.
Official sources differ
Conflicting values are flagged for manual review and are not silently resolved.
Sources we review
- Exact flavour nutrition panels and ingredient lists.
- Official product and manufacturer information.
- Finished-product and ingredient testing reports.
- Recognised sport or quality certifications.
- Current public single-pack prices and customer aggregates.
Evidence confidence
High, Medium and Low confidence describe how strongly the available information supports an assessment. They are not safety grades. Important information remains written in text so colour is never the only signal.
Submit updated information
Brands and readers can provide a current label, report, certification or correction. New evidence is assessed using the same published framework; supplying information does not guarantee a score change.
Unless a product page explicitly states otherwise, 1% Better has not commissioned the laboratory work shown in the source record.
